Pressed Plushywife alert.
NBC, commentary like this is NOT okay. When the video started, I thought the commentary would be somewhat decent. But slowly, I found myself consumed with rage.
First, was bringing up Vancouver and his loss to Lysacek really necessary? Sure, it’s not uncommon for someone to bring up what medals one has won, but this really...

Practice 2/26/12
Soooo, I didn’t post a recap for last weekend. I skipped my practice Saturday because my coach canceled our lesson, and Sunday’s practice was just mediocre. Not bad, not good.

There are people out there who will never have any single jumps or any spins, but they still skate. Keep it up, because skating's in your blood. It never leaves. I left skating while I was in college, and came back. Now, my skills have...
Anonymous asked: I understand that you may well have given up on going to freestyles - but I'll try to persuade you anyway. I'm a beginning skater. Everyone my age is doing doubles and I'm still working away at my toe loop. I've just learnt my first spin. Freestyles seemed so daunting, I felt looked down on and felt like I was interrupting people with more important practice to do than me. But...

dapperderp:
Author description: “Why “save skating”? Because our sport is in free fall. After enjoying its boom of the 1980s and 1990s, the popularity of figure skating is at an all-time low, especially in North America. TV audiences are vanishing, sponsors turning their back on the sport, and professional skating but a distant memory.” This is definitely worth a look, especially the most...
